Le Maitre was asked to lend a helping hand in Guernsey for the 60th anniversary of Liberation Day. Standard Fireworks (Guernsey) wanted to use the Dragons to help promote their sponsors. 2 Dragons were shipped to Guernsey and positioned on a harbour breakwater running parallel with the sea front where the revellers gathered. As the dragons shot their 50 ft flames into the sky, the party goers' attention was drawn to a Randalls banner featuring their range of “devilish” ales! Le Maitre’s Mark Thomas was the technician there on the day, he said it was a fantastic day – despite getting horribly sunburnt!
